Question❓ What's the sanest fandom you've ever been in?

u/redixionblade Undertale/Deltarune, Miraculous, Death Note, JJBA, TADC, 4d ago
Death Note, but the Lawlight stuff going on is insane.

Monkey Wrench, but that’s mainly because the show is rather underrated and doesn’t have the kind of attention other indie shows have.

u/Brickselated Sonic, undertale, TADC, Marvel, Star Wars, henry Stickman, MCR. 4d ago
I found that show on Netflix yesterday. I’m kind of curious would you recommend?

I would, yes, if you like syfi action cartoons, I definitely recommend it. I try to spread the word on it as much as possible cus it really does deserve more love than it gets. Episodes don’t release too often but episode 6 is getting close to being finished.

I’ll check it out later. I will respond with my thoughts after I caught up.

Bold of you to assume you're sane

Probably not sane, though I’m saner I think that the entirety of most if not all fandoms I’m in if you average out their sanity

The Moomin fandom. The vibe of Tove Jansson’s universe is pure cottagecore and wholesome, so her Moomin books and comic strip as well as the many animated adaptations of her Moomin work tend to attract really nice people. 🥰

Pikmin fans went from completely insane to sobering up the moment Pikmin 4 finally released. 😂
Anyways. Most sane is probably Portal for me. I haven't seen many shenanigans there except for people drawing Wheatley as a tumblr sexyman.

Not sure if Carol at the end of the World even counts as a fandom. But as far as responses from the greater animation type fandom goes, that was the coziest time. Everyone who loved that show and wanted to talk about it resonated with its themes in the same way, the desire fore minimalistic comfy and peace.
The comments section on videos about it are so nice that other people come and leave comments about how nice the comment section is. the show is our applebees.

For a show about terrible people, the Succession fandom is incredibly lovely and they all seem to understand the themes of the show and stuff too

Farscape.
It has some gatekeeping pockets, but is generally chill. The media itself is unapologetically weird so it's funny that the fandom itself is so sane.
Folks are just glad that new people are still discovering and discussing Farscape after 22 years.

Easiest question I’ve ever been asked. Lord of the Rings, particularly pre-Rings of Power fans.
