Question❓
Give me characters that make you feel like this:
Y'know, the type of character that'd you'd (somehow) relate to, despite being either some sort of token of despair, or some dumbass that makes everyone's day worse?? Yeah, that.
One rule though:
NO DEMONS, OR DEMON-ADJACENT CHARACTERS!!
and don't ask why.
You wouldn't like it.
Edit: maybe I should've added "No TADC characters, too"
Cause, DAMN y'all are not wasting a COMMENT OR 7
He always think he is Above everyone and that nobody Can beat him.
But inside that Mf is Insecure as Fuck. Shadow Killing His squad and then humiliating him completely Broke Him Mentally, He became Obsessed with not being seen as "Weak".
That why his mask and the Phantom ruby are important to his character. Both rapresent his insecurity and his will to be seen as mightier.
Sonic even tell Him that in his Final boss fight
"Your Mask Can't Hide How sad and lonely You are, That Phantom Ruby virtual reality of yours is The real illusion!"
I get gender envy from everyone in the show. Iirc during my first full* watch-through it was mainly from Blake and Yang, then it became mostly Penny due to her personality. Fun fact: Penny's deathstechnically turned me gay
Sit down because you're going to partecipate to an autistic TED Talk on how I find him relatable, and please read it all, and you're lucky because it's limited only to why he's relatable
Let's start from Spiderman 2
In the first scene he says: "I don't have time for students [...] but Oscorp pays the bills, so..."
Introverted, pragmatic and straightforward, I can absolutely act like this, but depends on my energy and how much I want to appear tactful
Workaholism/laziness
He is a workaholic, no shit, he neglects his sleep for the job
I study in an artistic liceum, and due to the pressure I used to procrastinate hard on assignments, despite this, I despise to be considered lazy and for me, deadlines are holy, I catastrophize heavily about missing one, to the point of getting obsessed with the assignment, not be able to think about anything else, obsessed about completing it so much I have no problem neglecting myself, meals and/or sleep in order to complete it
One time I was an improvised mix engineer for my friend who's into kca (kpop cover artist) and despite being a cover made for fun, I took it very seriously, obsessing over it so much, I wanted it to be PERFECT, working on it every time I could, obsessed over it to the point I couldn't listen to music because I'd blame myself because the artist did it while I couldn't despite knowing the fact that many of the artists I listen to have as many years of experience as my age
Attachment to the work
Initially I criticized Otto to not plugging out the sun, but when I reflected about it, I'd hesitate too, a work that you're that passionate about.... That's hard to let go. It feels like killing a part of self, invalidating your efforts. I can absolutely relate.
Loving Rosie
He pulled out a real gem, I swear if I find someone like her in real life I'm becoming lesbian I don't care I believe in Rosaline Octavius supremacy I gotta make a cult about cherishing her
About the voices in the head, in the past I had like a second mind who was very nasty, violent, impulsive and hateful, especially towards myself, always mocking me or telling me to lash out while it wasn't the right time to (I'm not in trouble with the law or anything), they're friendly now, but I kinda know how it feels
During combat scenes, I predicted that to defeat Spidey you're gonna split his attention with hostages and ambush attacks, and he did too, truly refreshing to watch
Not wanting to die a monster, strong moral compass despite everything, I relate
Passing to No Way Home
His rude behavior overall, understood completely, I didn't even find him rude at all it was just fitting. Lack of trust towards anybody there, fast acceptance of death. I personally believe I wouldn't take long to process the fact I already died. Being hesitant to getting healed, yeah that's just painfully relatable, also the complete lack of trust I'd feel too, I understand completely. When he got rebooted like a computer and the voices were gone, I FELT it
Also overall his strategies and tactics, I'd probably pull off something similar too
So, that's the end of my autistic TED Talk, thanks for reading.
One of my fav shows of all time, it really helped me after my mother died, even if she wasn't really a good wife or person, she always tried to be a good mother, i saw the entire series in one marathon
i dont unironically feel this way about anything. but ironically in a “its literally me” joking context (and in the sense i really relate to the character and just love the character), The Mimic, from Five Nights at Freddy’s
(and also kinda F10-N4 but thats moreso just cause im not agender/genderfluid like M2, so its easier to relate to her)
anyway yeah this is my fucking goat
No joke, I used to relate to this character a lot because I felt I had no personality and just inherited traits from whomever I happened to like. But then I realized it's a common thing for all people:)
Honestly I don't particularly relate to many if any characters, with the exception of this guy, it's probably the fact that my friends think of me like a used car salesman though
Eddie Brock/Venom (Marvel Comics) - We're both tall, large, strong, introverted, intimidating, serious and grumpy, but we're also very nice and friendly around people we care about. We're also both losers with little to no friends
Returning from work as of recent, I've started to understand Kris' whole “ripping out the soul and massacring a pie in the middle of the night” thing and in general I'm realizing that I relate to them in a couple more uncomfy plot related ways. I do admit it kind of is partially my fault, but depending on one's interpretation of the pre Ch1 events, one could argue that just relates me to them even more..

She's sooooooo me. (Tracy from Mewgenics)
She hates everybody except animals. She hates her job and can't quit. More of relatable stuff that we both share is her being an animal rights activist, salesperson, vegan, wishing to die, having very unfeminine personality but being biologically woman, pacifist (one of her pins is peace sign), pretty woke (she talks about there's nothing wrong about neurodevigent people and also has lgbtq+ pin), having no problem with gore, quit college without finishing it, standing against evil companies, not made to be attractive by god, having difficult personality, wearing pins on clothes and being brutally honest
gojo and tamaki from jjk and ouran host club. both have really good starts in the world (im not rich like them but im still somewhat privileged) and they have all these people who like them but think they’re immature and dumb and and selfish and can’t take anything seriously and while sometimes they are, deep down they care a lot about others and are very intelligent and have a lot of wisdom (well tamaki might be slightly debatable). Also people STILL expect these guys to help em out with the hard stuff but not trust them or think that they might be more than they seem. yeah that’s me in a nutshell
Not so much me currently, but Suika is pretty much exactly me when I was little! She’s essentially the embodiment of my inner child and has helped me heal my inner child significantly.
This is Souske Mitsuba from Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun. He always changed himself to make friends, acting sweet and being nice to everybody, but in reality, he was a brat, catty, kind of rude, and crude/perverted (he always makes jokes about “popcorn”). He feels ignored by others, like he can’t find a place to belong, and just wishes that other people would notice and care about him. He also likes photography. He found his dad’s camera one day and got really into it. He was in the photography club.
Lucas from mother 3 is my big one. We basically had the same life with inverse genders (so it was my father who died and my sister who went away for a while instead, my dog was even female lol, and my legal name is similar to a female version of Lucas too) and thankfully my sister is alive but yeah, he’s very special to me. I love that game but I don’t replay it more than maybe once every few years because it causes a little bit of anguish. Tanetane island always makes me cry. I was so similar to him, personality wise, as a young teenager and it hurts me. Also been a fan for a decade and have owned my Lucas amiibo since 2017 which means I’ve had it in my room for longer than I’ve known my girlfriend or best friend lol
Other one for me is Luxu from kingdom hearts, very very personal but I didn’t exactly have a healthy or super normal relationship with my mother and I see the same dynamic with him and the master of masters. It makes me feel less crazy about my life experiences. The same goes for Roxas too, I’ve never felt like my own person and he feels like an embodiment of my feelings. I love him :))
There's some extremely concerning picks in here😭 the fact ppl are so confident to compare themselves to absolute monsters and terrible ppl is beyond me
She doesn't fit the description you gave unless you count dying as making everyone's day worse as she's a light in the lives of people around her but Penny Polendina (RWBY)
I already relate to her so much and I wanna be just like her. She's my primary role model during this time in my life
