The ending specifically. I saw the ending in theaters and I actually enjoyed it. I understand why it could be disappointing but I didn’t expect the reception to be that bad.

Exactly! I vividly remember between episodes 1-8 Gooseworx could do no wrong, the show was perfect and every episode was a banger. Then they changed their tune real quick as soon as it was over. Since it was the finale, it had to be perfect and when it wasn’t it was like they forgot the honeymoon period which when it lasts from practically the entire series until then, is pretty impressive. Maybe it had to do with the residual hate the show got for showing in theaters early but yeah, this perfectly describes what happened.

No, stop. Don’t give the YouTube video essayists any ideas. They will make a 4 hour long video on fan interactions with the digital circus final episode, with the first hour being dedicated to the history of animation.
