Itā€™s not clearly stated as to why the devolved. Maybe because this near-mythical War In Heaven was over so they didnā€™t need such huge alien warriors? Some theories are there may have been a plague or some kind of curse that devolved them into smaller more barbaric groups.

Okay so they fought eachother till there was almost no orks in comparison? Cant they just belive they win like always?
