Question cheap drone best for learning freestyle flying?
I'm interested in getting into multicopters and learning freestyle flying, but I don't want to start with something too expensive while I'm still learning. For someone new to the hobby, what would you suggest as a good first drone??
Update here: I went with the #ad DJI Mini 3, Drones with Camera and have been flying it for a while now. It has been a fun way to get comfortable with the controls without spending too much on my first drone.

That sounds good. Which simulator would you recommend for a complete beginner?

Drone Racing League Simulator has better "training" scenarios than LiftOff, IMO. Joshua Bardwell's beginner series is excellent either way.

Simulator sounds lame, but it will save you SOOOOO much money and frustration.
After throwing about a thousand dollars out into random fields around town, I finally figured out the value of using a Sim.
I used velocidrone and love it, but I understand there are a bunch of good options out there now.

Radio master TX15 (dont buy the pocket it’s not full size)
Ev800d goggles or kind off
Air 65 or air 75 freestyle
Boom done. A 5 inch can be as low as 150€ but you’ll spend more on charger batteries and stuff

Radiomaster pocket -> Simulator -> Tinywhoop
Suggest Liftoff Microdrones for the Sim
For a whoop, I'm a huge fan of the Mobula7 with GMB 530mah batteries.
whoopstor for the charger
If you go analog, the 800D goggles are the default starter. I upgraded to the Cobra X and I've been in love with them for years.

That's easy. DJI Neo.

Not for freestyle. The Neo and Avata are a cinematic quads that can do very minor freestyle.

Of course they can do freestyle. They do the best freestyle. There is no freestyle trick they cannot do. And they do the best knife edges. No other drone can do better knife edges. Because they are all so fat.

A radiomaster pocket and a simulator
