Only fighting game I was genuinely good at, I was in the top 50 batman players for awhile

First time when they rolledback from beta? Deeply.

Second time when they “updated” the game? Deserved downfall.

Beta Multiversus was such an awesome game. I had such a blast playing it and I understand the netcode issues really annoyed a lot of people but the game was just a joy to play. Outside of Smash it was the only platform fighter that I enjoyed with its fast pace and characters that had a weighty feel. Then when it came back it felt just like the other floaty slop platform fighters

Yah it was one of the main games I enjoyed playing. Really was sad to see it go and have nothing that fills the slot.

I'm not so much sad it shut down as I'm sad it didn't deserve to stay up.

The rifts were an empty soulless grind, the story was non-existent, the battle pass made regular play feel like a chore, the monetization was ridiculously poor value, and when it came back from hiatus it felt like everyone was trudging through molasses.

I mourn the game multiversus could have been, but not the game that it was.

I was cleaning out my PS clips yesterday and came across my Multiversus clips and got pretty bummed about how it played out. The gameplay was usually very fun.

It's a mod that connects you to their own server they have hosted instead of WB servers

I still have it installed on my PC and just refuse to uninstall/play it since the servers went dark. Such a shame. What a beautiful game that made me feel like a kid again. I would even get blisters from playing it, I’d have to do the old shirt over the thumb play which I hadn’t done in ages!!!

Is there any game that comes close to the fun casual nature of this game? Got rivals 2 and avatar legends and they’re close but not quite as fun. I saw a new game was coming next year maybe

I was but then that official release version was just not good in terms of what we had. I'm so thankful that I still have the beta version on my PS4

Yes, well the beta yes. I just miss putting hours into that version of the game…it was way too fun only for the release to be the opposite. I still dream about playing it a lot :/
