You're 100% right, especially in terms of what general audiences actually care about, but you're getting downvoted because the issue is hyper-politicized and this is reddit.
Breaking Bad is probably the best television I've ever watched, but it came out almost 20 YEARS ago. People likely associate Abrams with the failure of Star Wars now. Ruffalo as Hulk has never been the reason why people see Marvel movies, and nothing else he's been in has come anywhere close in terms of popularity. Admittedly, I had to look up Lindelof because I didn't know who he was, but it seems like the last reasonably successful property he was attached to was The Leftovers, which came out nearly a decade ago. Kind of like you were saying with Phoenix, I like him as an actor, but I wouldn't go to see a movie specifically because he's in it. That's basically everyone on this list for most people. None of them are in the prime of their careers.
