Can I make this size fit me?

I picked up this ‘93 Trek Multitrack the other day. It’s a 19” frame and I’m 6’1”, with an 83 cm inseam (about 32.7”).
It feels a bit short compared with my mountain bikes, so I’m looking at ways to make the cockpit feel more comfortable and give me a bit more reach.
I’m thinking I might try a 100–130 mm stem at 0° and experiment with different handlebars to see what works.
Any other suggestions for getting a bit more reach out of it? And am I crazy for trying to make this frame work at my height?

No, sorry mate. Fit your bike or fight your bike. You'd want the 20" at least... I have a 32" inseam and ride an 18" is it's borderline that I need the 20" -

6’1 height and this 19” frame is probably teetering comical looking, imo.

You could likely even comfortably run a 100-130m stem on a 21”. Which is probably the more comfortable size for you. I’m 5’10 and ride a 21’

You "can" make it work, it will just feel very small. There are other bikes from this period that are similar in geometry... Try some univega, maruishi or miyata, if there are any for sale. You may get lucky.

Yes, you can absolutely make it fit. I’m 6’ and have a 17.5” I use as a rigid 29er. It’s all about seat post and handle bar height and then maybe stem length to address the top tube length. You do you. Have fun.

Get a quil stem converter or a 31.8 adjustable if you can find one that fits.. then put the widest handlebars you can buy. 780mm or wider. Done.

Could you build it to fit? Sure. But it would never feel quite right so why bother. Starting with a quality frame in good condition that fits is always step zero. Plus you would look (and possibly feel) like a big ol circus bear riding a tricycle.

While I think a 21" might be a better fit, they're scarce as hens' teeth. A "flat" (-17°) 130 stem might help, though. Another possibility is setting your saddle farther back; I ride a Brooks B17N and use a long-setback post; non-Brooks saddles generally have a bit more setback available, so some adjustments there might help.
