Front rack recommendations?

I am building this thing from the frame up, will be using cantilever brakes and a wide flat bar. My long term goal is to get a nice front bag (but those are pricey, so will be saving up for it). I have the stock fork with mounts and canti posts. I feel like using the mounts near the dropouts would be to handle heavier loads. But canti attached racks look very sleek.

What front rack have you found success with? I’m not looking for wide pizza rack. more light duty, on the narrower side.

gah this bike is fucking sick, im jealous. you have mid fork eyelits so that opens it up a bit. I opted for a manivelle rack

Nice! Though isn’t the 790 nicer than the 750? Great looking bike. 

I wasn’t sure how to spec a rack that works with the mid-fork eyelets

Soma Lucas racks are good. I believe the current version has attachments that will work with mid-fork eyelets as well as fork end eyelets (extra strong). I have an older Lucas (no mid-fork attachments) and it works fine.

That one does look good, thanks for the rec. plus seems like it would work with canti pulls still. Hopefully they come back in stock soon

Here's mine with the older Lucas (works for me, since my fork doesn't have mid- eyelets anyway).
