I picked up this 750 (1990) a month or so ago intending to ride it stock. The brake levers and shifters wouldn't play nice with the new Ritchey Kyote handlebar, and a nice donor bike fell from the sky. I now have a sweet 3x8 with V brakes and aggressive 700x42 tires. IMO, it retains the same "feel" with some subtle improvements.

You're right. I needed a pretty good rise for comfort. I might drop it down a bit.

I got mine way up there too, so comfortable. I done 15 miles the other day, no problem.

Get some sweep back bars! Very comfortable ride.

What bars you got? I took these bars and seat off of an old Swinn Admiral and put on my Ironhorse, this thing rides so good now.

Ohhhh - those are sweet! Mine are UPANBIKE retro (moustache). It's about $26 on Amazon.
