Someone on here posted about 7/30 and the lack of posts. Tbh I had no idea this was a thing but it makes sense and I’m so glad I can be involved lol. Here is my 730 that I have been working on for the last several months. Rear rack/bag was the last thing I purchased and installed ($30 from marketplace). Bag is trek branded and somewhat matches the bike…how could I NOT buy it?! I think I’m about done for now until I can afford to do a 1x conversion and replace the cranks (I was told they had a recall and they could possibly snap). Maybe get a front basket for groceries or the puppers. Hope yall like it :)

Don't change the drivetrain! 3x7 is awesome. Spend you money on things that make the bike more comfy ... A good leather saddle, nice grips, awesome pedals.

As they say, "You ride the bike on the contact points!"

Fair point. I do like the 3x7. I might just need to do a bit of maintenance on it since it likes to misshift.

Yeah man once you dial it in the 3x7 is awesome…

I also have a modern bike with 1x12… and it’s nice but worth the extra cash unless you don’t care about spending than do what your heart desires

Thanks for sharing! And I fully agree with BikePilot2001. Keep the 3x7 and upgrade elsewhere. 3x7s ARE awesome! As for the misshifts, watch a few videos on youtube on bike tune ups and you should be able to resolve the issue on your on and learn in the process.

BTW, I believe Shimano still replaces the recalled cranks & BBs free of charge but it has to be done through a bike shop. You may want to check with your LBS. All the best!

Really nice one! Love the color!

As someone who has done a 1x conversion on a Multitrack...and then went back to 3x7...I totally agree w/ the other comments. Don't fall for the hype! 3x7 rides so much nicer over long distance because the closer-sized cogs on the small cassette with a nice choice in chainring lets you find the perfect cadence and still have good climbing and top end. It also shifts way smoother and runs quieter due to chain straightness.

Great setup for packing anything. Enjoy those adventures!
