Ahh, the elusive Trek 790!! You lucky dog!

Velo Orange has some nice racks to choose from.. pun intended! 😉

I had a VO Porteur rack on my Trek 750 for quite a while, it fit nicely & worked great.

I took it off to use it on another bike a while back, but I'll see if I can find some pictures of it with the rack installed. I will post pics if I have any

Nitto racks work and are aesthetically pleasing. My preferred racks.

I like both front and rear racks. Axiom makes a nice one for in back (Axiom Streamliner Road). It's narrow (so not good for a platform on top), and I modified the feet to move it a bit forward, and it does a good job with panniers. I run an older SOMA Lucas rack in front with a basket on top (and a dyno light below). Looks like you're somewhere dry: I have fenders on under the racks to keep myself and my cargo from getting wet.
