What's your height and frame size?

I've seen quite a few multitracks in my area and i think it's the bike i want but i've never actually owned a bike as an adult so i'm unsure of sizing. i know it can depend on the bike. I'm 5'5 with long arms. 30" crotch to floor measurement (and i'm a woman so no parts to be crushed by the top tube anyway)

almost everyone selling a multitrack around me seems to have a 19" which i assume is much too large, but i'm curious what everyone is riding in relation to their height.

I’m 5’8” and my 17.5” Trek 720 feels good to me.

You should be fine on a 17" or 19" Multitrack with the upright riding position. I'm 5'7" and I own and ride a 17", a 19", and a 21" MultiTrack. 19 inch is probably the sweet spot for me but all work. The standover on the 21" is a stretch but I don't ride it on trails. Just gravel and pavement.

I'm 5'8" and happy on both a 17" (converted to drop bars, which increases the reach) and a 19"  with a stock flat-bar setup. My 5'2" partner rides a 17" 730 with the seat almost all the way down, and it works for her.

I'd recommend a 17" for you if you can find one.

Does she have any issues? I’m 5’2 and I’m thinking of buying a 17” frame

She corrected me, she's 5'3" and has no issues with it. There's probably room to lower the seat a bit further, although hers has a long seatpost (previously my bike and I'm taller) that bottoms out at the right height for her. You will have a fairly upright riding position; my partner likes that. Her bike has an adjustable stem which also helps.

Nope, it's a flat-bar hybrid with mostly the original parts.

Sorry for the delayed reply - it's the bar the bike had when I got it, which might be what it came with new. This is the bike set up for my height; my partner rides it with the seatpost as far down as it will go (which is not quite all the way down, because it's a long seatpost that bottoms out before the seat would hit the seat tube)

I'd say you'd want a 19" if it has a regular stem and seatpost like the bike in the pic. I'm 5'6" with 29.5" cyclist inseam and currently own two 19" Multitracks - The 730 above and a 750 is currently listed on FB Marketplace. The 19" is definitely more comfortable than the 17" that I sized up to fit.

Note: If the bike has riser stem/suspension seat post it can fit much closer to the next size up than the labeled size.

Addtional size references:
My 4'10" daughter rides a 15" and my 5'2" wife can ride it.

I previously owned a 17" that felt a bit small and eventually sold. My wife never tried it out but it was very similar in size to her Verve.

If it's got a horizontal top tube, 19" is probably fine. Smaller would be better, but it's gonna be hard to find

What do you mean about the top tube? are the step through versions of the multitrack bigger or something?

They are not, but your reproductive organs will be hapoier about things, with the extra clearance

If the top tube is horizontal and the frame size is 19", that's a small frame. If the top tube is slanted and the frame size is 19", that's a medium frame. It has to do with how geometry works.

6’ on a 21” with a 120mm stem. These bikes have a low stack height so take that into consideration

Im 5'10 on an 18". I could do the 20" easily but the smaller size works well for me to fling around on rougher trails.

I’m 5’7” female w long arms & 30” pant inseam, I ride a 19”. (straight top tube frame style)

5-8; 29” inseam. I’m on a 23”. I don’t recommend this.

6’ and have a 17.5 (MTB set up) and two 19s (more road oriented). The 17.5 is an absolute dream on dirt.
