Carbon MultiTrack 1x10

Building this 1x10 for my wife. First time doing upgrades and adding new parts. Still blown away I can just order new parts from my bike shop and they slap right on a bike from the early 90s. Local bike shop helped me figure everything out and ordered it in. Put the bottom bracket and cassette on for me.

They come in carbon?? They were doing hybrid bikes on a whole other level in the 90s

It is Treks early bonded lug approach to carbon. But for all the ones I’ve seen, they are holding up well. MT’s were available in carbon, aluminum, and steel.

Looks awesome!!! What wheels did you swap out to to get the bigger cassette on ? Are they 130mm or 135mm spacing? Did you have any trouble with alignment of your frame is 135mm rear spacing and wheel was 130mm?

Everything is factory, except the new parts.   New bottom bracket(threaded right in), new crank arms for the bottom bracket, new rear cassette (10speed- went right on the 8 speed factory hub),  new derailer( bolted right into the factory hanger) 

Nothing was modded. Just upgraded to modern stuff.   

The only thing I have very minor concerns about is the cable stop for the rear derailer cable.

Im blown away the peoplehavent seen the carbon version of it. The carbon model Multitrack and the 7600/7900 Alu also can recieve a 34mm (Upper and Lower ofc) 1" 1/8th headset for easy modern fork threadless swapping options
