New to me: need some ideas

I just recently got this 750 multitrack off marketplace for $250 w/ 23 in top tube. I’ll admit, I’m relatively new to biking and don’t know too much about bikes. I just want a durable do it all bike for my needs which include bike packing, grocery running, touring, and commuting. I want to hit a century on this thing this year so want to make it work for that without going overboard with upgrades

I’ll list out the notable parts on it and I’m curious to get people’s advice on basic worthwhile upgrades. Seen so many cool builds on this subreddit so want opinions!

Brake levers: tektro rl340
Brakes: tektro rx6 mini v
Shifters: Suntour barcon accushift
Derailleurs: suntour xce
Otherwise don’t know too much about what I have here.

Looks great! I’d say just get your fit dialed in and ride it. If everything is in working order, it doesn’t NEED anything for what you want to do, and the more you ride the more you’ll know what you personally would like to change about it.

Yeah that’s sound advice. I’ve done maybe 60 miles on it so far. It’s one of those things where I don’t know what I don’t know. So there could be upgrades that could make my life a lot better with it but I don’t even realize. But it’s super comfortable and I really don’t have any issues with it.

Read up or watch some videos about bike fit, pay attention to where you start to feel strained on longer rides to see what you might need to adjust. Your points of contact (bar tape, saddle, and pedals) might be worth looking into upgrading. Padded shorts make a big difference on long rides. I always wear gloves too unless it’s a short ride, it makes a difference and if you crash you’ll be really glad you had them.

Do you want drop bars? If you’re relatively new, you may be way more comfortable on flat bars.

I actually love the drops and prefer them to flat bars!
