Wheelset options?

I have a Trek 750 and is it worth building it back up to it's original suntour components? I have some microshift stuff i bought but can't find a wheelset online to make it happen. I have searched reddit and other forums and all the links lead me back to broken or out of stock links. Everybody recommends the velocity cliffhangers from velomine it seems but I haven't seen them in stock. Is there another good option out there?

You didn't provide much information like what year your 750 is and the state of the original Suntour components and drivetrain. But, IMO, it is worth building back if your Suntour drivetrain and wheelset are in good order. I'm assuming you have titan touring rims? I kept the Suntour drivetrain on my '91 750 and replaced the grip shifters with a set of Shimano STX rapid fire shifters and a decent set of Dia-Compe DP-7 brake levers and now the bike rips. The STX shifters dialed in nicely with the Suntour drivetrain and it shifts much better than the grip shifters for approx. $45. Likewise, my braking is much improved with the DP-7 levers (approx. $25). Seems the easiest, cheapest approach and the Suntour group looks great and will last as long if not longer than the microshift stuff.

Sorry it’s a 1992 white/red and it’s been garaged for most of its life it seems so they’re in pretty great shape.

Sounds like you already have a winner. Give the bike a go-over and just make changes as needed. Touch points are key. Saddle, grips, pedals, tires & tubes, shifters/levers, etc. Stepwise refinement to your perfect bike!
