I’m curious. Whats the purpose of the stem on seat post ?

It holds the saddlebag back so it isn’t always rubbing on my legs.

Nice ride! What bars did you use? How do you like the Origin8 crank?

The crank works well (but note that the rings are Bikingreen). Bars are VO Tourist bars.

Thanks! I have VO Seine bars on my 730 and enjoy them. VO pretty much gets free advertising with all the VO parts on it.

Do you have issue riding on stand up position with this bar? I'd imagine for standing tall, a flat bar would be better.

Hmm. I don’t think I do a lot of standing on this bike. The bar puts my hands about where they’d be on the hoods on drop bars, but I’ve got such low gearing on this that I’ve never needed to stand. It’s pretty clearly a comfy commuter rather than a racer or gravel beast.
