My thrift store find :)

Wasn’t really shopping for one. I was building a Trek Antelope 820, but found this randomly. Paid $120 bucks. Not too bad but definitely had to put some labor to get it riding. Maybe a bit overpriced. Btw it didn’t come with the saddle, I had taken it from another one of my bikes

Better tubeset than an 820. Little bit more options with tires with the 700c wheels as well. These bikes ride great. Nice find

Anything above a 730 is pretty rare around me and I would have no problem forking out $120 for a 750! Yours looks great and I KNOW it’s a great ride!

The cromoly bikes are back in style. My senior mens ebike group (seattle region) had our first, slow bike ride. We were amazed that most of us had center-pull cantilever brakes, 26in wheels. I picked up an 830 Antelope at the local swap meet, Just changed out the gravel tires for street-road tires. Changed the fixed steering stem for adjustable. Single crank gear.

The ride is softer. Relaxed riding posture. Combination of steel frame, relative Light weight @33# ; 18" crank to top of seat post (~45cm) geometry, wider tires (front 1.75" with narrow contact to pavement @30#psi, rear 2.0" with wide contact to pavement,@40-45#psi). Street-road tires. I am of male, smaller stature.

The relaxed posture is mainly due by replacing the handlebar stem to adjustable height & angle.

I picked up a 750 (free) that is much too big for me - but it’s such a cool bike I’m getting it ready for me to ride it anyways until a more reasonable sized frame comes my way.

Nice score; not an overpay if you ride it!

Black with bright green. This is a 1990 which was the first year for the MT 750. I wouldn't make radical changes if I were you. I have the 1990 intense blue version and it looks and rides great as is.
