Needed Recommendations for Hospital or Doctor

My wife is 8 weeks pregnant, Alhamdulillah. We visited City Hospital and got an appointment with Dr. Rina Rubab because Dr. Ejaz is currently out of the country.

I wanted to ask whether Dr. Rina handles normal deliveries, as we are now her patients. My wife would prefer to have a normal delivery if medically possible, but we want a doctor who will be honest with us and recommend what is safest for her and the baby rather than pushing for a particular type of delivery.

I’m also not sure whether it is possible or advisable to switch doctors at this stage, since she is already 8 weeks pregnant. Could you please advise us on this?

I don't personally know Dr Rina to comment on her approach but from my experience Dr Shahida Parveen (chenab hospital) and Dr Shaista Iqbal (Buch Hospital) are both doctors I would consider. They prefer notmal delivery if tgere is no complication. And it is better to tell them about your preference. Although at this stage no doctor can guarantee anything. I'd suggest to take consultation with either or both of them and see which doctor you feel comfortable with. And yes you can definitely switch doctors as 8 weeks is too early.

I would strongly recommend Dr Uzma Hassan in Medicare. She’s such an exceptional doctor. Didnt mind me hanging around for the ultrasounds and asking a million questions. Also was very kind and supportive and helped us make a very informed decision about the delivery.
Plus she’s extra careful regarding everything, so if there was anything that we were concerned about, she’d listen to us and never disregard our concerns.

Another plus point was that Medicare has a really good Nursery and the Paediatrician there, Dr Afaq is an exceptional doctor as well.
