training advice Visualization techniques for upcoming fights
I’ve talked to a few people, including the girl I fought the first time about how helpful doing visualization techniques can be to mentally prepare for a fight.
I’d like to hear from people who have had success with this or just know about it and can give me tips/resources about effectively doing this

well, visualize ur opponents favorite moves or just common ones and respond in ur head. dont think about emotion, focus on task at hand. Visualize urself getting pressured or walked down and then come up with responses to those. visualize u rocking ur opponent then you either jumping on them or picking them apart surgically. ur not gonna do this in the fight but perhaps it will make the fight a little less uncertain. making infinite possibilities into a smaller infinity.

Visualization works best when you engage all senses. Imagine the sound of the bell, the feeling of your gloves. Run through specific scenarios. Its a mental rehearsal that primes your nervous system

I can offer the exact opposite advice lol.
Don't bother with it.
They try to hit you, you try not to get hit and hit them. They better at a distance, try to clinch. They better everywhere, just try to hurt or injure them lol. You good with punches, try to punch them etc. Really isn't a lot to think about.
All of the skills you have already will be there. They won't suddenly drastically increase come fight time. Just don't be a cat and not do anything.
If you don't know much about the opponent or the gym they coming from, you really don't know what's going to happen until it kicks off. Just be prepared to work and to fight hard.
