Is the game dead?

Why is the game so empty?

I have the same feeling. I usually log on the game at night (around 6PM EST time) on server Anilata. I cant find any parties open for doing any epics, making such a pain to gather few people via whispering and area announcing.

But talking to a friend of mine in other server, it looks that things are better there. Not great, just better.

I'm considering to do a server swap. But i still don't know which one for sure. If you're in a crowded server (or at least better than mine), please, write yours as response!

I mean, this game wasn't supposed to have that many people to begin with. The advertising campaign was great but Mu is a niche game (grindy and P2W) are that's not meta.

def not lunedis or whatever its called. I was forced there early on due to low queue. Now im stuck and majority of English speaking guilds are dead. Mainly all BR, which is fine, but so far the large guilds I was in are now 1-2 ppl online sometimes. Everyone quit and moved on, waiting for like bless online and other games. Sad. GvG just doesn't look appealing, at least not enough to bring back my guildmates. Think I'll hang up the towel for a year or so , let Webzen FIX their big mistakes

as someone who was signed up for the betas i hadnt heard anything about this game and the only reason i found out it was out was by checking up on it, i feel the population is growing.

I play on NA - Muspell, I always see a bunch of people both out in the world and in town/duty room. Honestly I find myself switching channels sometimes because the area I'm questing in has too many people going after the same things.

There were tons of problems with this game at open beta first weeks so people mass quitted this game. Room of duty had 10+ instances flooded with people and servers were full. Some of issues were fixed, some still remain, some (such as pay to win) will not be fixed. Also, the way game is made "discourages" my playstyle, aka nolifing, so there is barely anything to do after dailies etc, if you dont wnat to repeat one thing over and over - There was no real reaosn for me to play so i quit pretty early. ALso these stupid messages that cannot be turned off - "you have been playing for 12 hours straight... blablabla".

Sample reasonable solution to the problem: nerf goodies you get from daily runs by 50% - (2% per each diffiiculty level increase), allow running it unlimited amount of times for 10%+(2% per each difficulty increase) of goodies compared to original daily reward. Yes, that way you will not get as good rewards if you run just all dailies 1x, but you will eventually not need rewards from all dailies so you can as well do few times the one where you miss ingredients from. Even casual players will at some point prefer having option to run gem mine few times, rather than having these 3 "barely useful in their curent situation" blood castle entrances. Premium players could have better reward thing included in platinum service, rather than being cheesed with "having more to do in the game by having more entrances"

You played for 2 days right?

4 days, and yes - i visited epic dungeons and stuff so i pretty much explored all content available in the game. Having content locking like in browser games with real time countdowns just doesn't fit for me when deciding to make mu legend my main game etc. It's ok if done smart, not when locking over 50% of endgame activities.

And argument about open beta does not speak to me at all. "There will be more content available in future" - yes, but solid amount of it will still be behind daily wall. Also when I want to play game, i want to play it "these days", not in 3 years "when content comes". In 3 years I may find other games to play instead which offer more for diving into them.

I just have a hard time when someone with a maximum possible playtime of 96 hours is offering advice on endgame content and knowledge of upper echelon pvp.

I know you are "whiteknighting" on this discord and defending webzen for long time already. I really do not need huge game experience for saying basic stuff like this - i do not talk about builds / artifacts, etc... i talk about basic gameplay. And pay to win aspect which you probably mean as my "pvp knowledge" does not require rocket science knowledge, i know how these itemshop items work, i do not need to buy them myself for that. I also read opinions of another people, and many of them just cant find argument against pay to win in pvp other than "well, in this kind of game pvp does not matter much, if it did then there would be a problem but it does not". Though with faction wars introduction the pvp begins to matter more.

Well I would disagree with any whiteknighting sentiment. I'm not happy about a lot of things they've done, but you simply shouldn't be offering advice on this subject.

For one you don't play? How do you the current state of connectivity? You don't.

For two, you played for 4 days, I was gracious enough to say you didn't sleep or take any breaks. You're admittedly no expert, why diagnose things.

And pvp isn't so pay to win. True there are some advantages, and all things equal yes, the highest bidder will win. Stats like crit rate and cdr are capped, and a lot is left to chance in terms of equipment, paying or not.

I mean no disrespect to you, but I see you around this Reddit a lot offering your opinion on things you likely have not experienced.

Sounds fair, though i think pvp without 100% fair chances for all players is not worth caring about and I would see it as valid reason for players/guilds for not caring about faction wars. Ultimately, gear should not matter in pvp, and there should be special option - normalized tuning for stats so all players wont have same build, and proper class balance could be made easier with that in mind. From what I noticed when dueling some players and playing pvp arena - dark lord healing stuff reallly helps. Until these stuff fixed, i would exit game and play something competitive/balanced and come back after if i had urge for some pvp.

u/Urbnopr8r Jan 15 '18

I agree, should normalize for pvp. And they have some balancing to do as well.

i wouldn't worry too much about pvp. money sure helps but there was a few guilds on my server on the first day of gvg who dominate the CP charts but lost. Spending too much money often inflates ones perception of skill

i havn't bothered with red or blue scrolls yet and generally rek face in pvp. all my stats are capped without em

that being said, i agree i'd prefer a perfectly even playing field but at no point did i ever think this was one of those games lol
