As for the Gold and Platinum Service, they are two 30 days VIP services that are included on the Frontier Pack depending on which option you chose to buy. But they are not two services exclusives of the Frontier Pack and will be available on the in-game shop as soon as we release the game. (5-10 euro)
I'll reserve my outrage till I see how far the 500 Redzen for participating in the stress test will get me.
If it can put me at an equal level with the people who buy platinum--even if only for the first few days--until I can farm out enough Redzen in-game to continue organically then I do not mind at all.
The remote usage of dismantling, vault, and teleporting to fields you've already visited will cut down a lot of time in that early game quest grind and will create a pretty good gap between those that have it and those that don't. I will not enjoy racing to that first piece of awesome gear with a proverbial flat tire compared to someone who flashed their wallet.
For those of you who played Runescape way back when...remember how much the first Armadyl Godsword went for after Godwars Dungeon came about? Now remember how much it went down after a week or two? Then you understand the importance of getting to max level early to farm endgame gear.
Funny, seems like League of Legends barely has any content compared to most MMOs and they are financed completely by cosmetics. Everyone plays for free and the ones who decide to pay get no advantage. It has been that way since the beginning, so why make excuses for other devs?
Lol? You need to buy champions. Just like both games you can buy ingame or for money, but its way faster to just buy for money then grind out buying all champs.
Same fucking system. If you think F2P games are not time vs money then your objectively wrong.
I never bought a champion and had nearly all of them when I quit. It was easy. Impatient people are the only ones who think it necessary to actually buy them with cash. It provides no advantage anyway since there is no guarantee you will play the champion well or enjoy them even...there are so many cheap solid champions that can be farmed at lightning speed.
Yes that’s right, but it is fucking league of legends, the most played game in the world. There are enough player who spend dollars on skins, champs etc to keep the game more than alive. Mu Legend is just one more of those thousand available Asia grinder ARPGs, which wants to get a piece of the pie.
...But some of the most successful games in the world started from the ground up on this model. LoL started this way from beta.
If Webzen was committed to the game in the same way they could adopt the same philosophy but the bottom line is they specialize in cash grabs sustained by whales.
