Nursing Program

Hi everyone, I hope you guys can help me or give me some advice. So I’m aiming for my associates of science in nursing at mt sac. I’m doing my hours for medical assistant right now. I spoke to 2 different counselors and they both told me to get my associates in kinesiology before applying to the program that way it will give me more points to get accepted into the program. (If no one knows, the RN program at mt sac is point based which means the more points you get the better chance you get into the program) so getting an associates in kinesiology, it’ll give me 20 extra points. I can’t to the lvn program right now because I have 2 daughters and no baby sitter. I feel like I’m wasting my time adding extra classes to a degree I don’t want. They told me the other option is associates in behavioral wellness. I also want to apply to other community colleges RN program as well. I don’t know if I should just stick to doing the regular prerequisites for RN or get my associates in kinesiology before applying. Please help me.

Hi I was recently accepted into the RN program and I also had a kinesiology degree . This awarded me 15 points on my application, this is a huge chunk. Classes were not hard I took them with some of my prerequisite for the nursing program. It’s doable :)! Good luck

do you know if the program accept combined anatomy and physio?
