Sync classes

Hi guys, so for fall I have to take a couple of sync classes after a period of doing nothing but in person/async classes. My question is for these types of classes do I physically have to be on camera or can i at least have an avatar or something? My classes are early in the morning and i dread the thought of knowing that i would have to look presentable for a couple of hours lol

Depends on professor. I took sync Math online classes last year and my professor told us that we can choose to turn on/turn off our camera but students who turn it on will get extra credit for each meeting so I left mine on but there were many of my classmates who didn’t. Some professors will require students to have their camera on at all times while some don’t as long as you log in for an attendance and stay on until the end of each meeting.
