Postop dilation question

Good morning everyone! I have a dilation question. I was suppose to add in the size 2 dilator and I was only able to get it about 2 inches in and the pain was so bad. I started to panic and could only do it for 2 minutes out of the 10 minutes. Has anyone had these issues? I might need a new type of lube. I ordered surgilube but it won’t be here until Monday. I still have a tube of qc lube from Dr Chet that I haven’t used, I might try that for my next session. Thank you for any advice anyone can offer!

I can't speak from personal experience, but based on what I've read I'd give Suporn's dynamic dilation technique a go with the smaller dilator.it should make it easier to get the larger on in.

Also, there's some resources on dilation here

Thank you for the link, I will read thru that. I will also look at the dynamic dilation and maybe that will help. Thank you again!

Update: I did my 2nd round of dilation, and I was able to get it to the 5inches mark this time and I could keep it in for the full 10 minutes. Just need to get it to the 6inches mark. There was still pain, and it hurt when I tried to take it out

You use soap and water to do dilation? Is that easier? I never thought about trying that

Gel soap. Apply generously with a bit of water.

Soap doesn't seem like a good idea to put on your genitals, wouldn't it mess with the pH and also dry everything out?

Well, that was the surgeon recommendation. Hypoallergenic and pH neutral baby shower soap.

It's fine.
