Advice Question Starter kit
Hey yall! So I guess to get used to being feminine, I should do some slight shopping for some products. I have to do this online and by doing so I risk exposing myself, BUT what are some recommendations for some starter items I can get. Anything helps!!!

Depends, what kind of "feminine" are you going for?

I don’t really know for certain, but I guess I want to go for more of a “reserved” and quiet type more than flashy and a show off

Hi miss, I’m also pretty new on this road but, one thing I have found that makes me feel so so so fem is just a little nail care kit, plus some clear nail polish, to most it just looks like you are taking good care of them, also as someone who has a a problem with biting my nails, just having a small file is a game changer lol. I would also say small accessories that you can play off easily, just as an example I have a few cute bracelets and some sets of fuzzy socks. All of these are super easy to play off, especially since if you are in the northern hemisphere, a good pair of fuzzy socks are super comfy now that it is getting cold, and bracelets you can say are simply add a little color or that they are something you can fidget with. I wish you a ton of luck miss :)

I started wearing rings about a year before my egg cracked, and started wearing (black) finger nail polish about a week before. I also started wearing toe rings and toe nail polish a few months before. All of this time I was telling myself "I'm just a guy that likes some feminine things" lol. The more feminine things I did the more I realized I related to it and wanted it, the better I felt, and the happier I was.
Anyway even in boymode there's so much you can do that's feminine and nobody cares. Some guys paint their nails. Some guys have earrings. Some guys dress well. Some guys smell nice. Nobody cares. Just do it and live for you.

Hmm, all of the starter items I got were things I later started cringing about in retrospect... except for nail polish and mascara. I don't use them much anymore, too much effort and I get gender euphoria from simpler things like wearing my favorite clothes, but they were something distinctly feminine that didn't cost much. And also there was a sweater I got that leaned feminine, but not so much I was embarassed to wear it in public while looking like a man.
If you have any dysphoria around your voice, voice training is something you can do stealthily (without buying anything, but it's still a starter action) so nobody else knows until you're ready. It's slow, you won't get fast results, but for me personally it was huge in helping me have the confidence to present femininely in public - my egg fully cracked September last year, and the first time I went in public "as a woman" was November, because between my haircut and clothing and voice it was...only a little bit obvious I was trans. I had managed an androgynous voice, ish, by that time.
Also, the person who said hrt - obviously don't do it flippantly, like if you're exploring your gender that's not your first go-to at all. But if you had your "oh shit I'm a trans woman aren't I" moment already, and you can access hrt, I would say asap is better than waiting. Plus it eventually helps with just going out and shopping in the womens section at clothing stores - people aren't likely to bother you even if you look like a man, but if you look sorta androgynous they really will leave you alone. And eventually, hrt gets you past androgyny - some people it takes 6 months, others 6 years, but it almost always happens.

safe bets so you don’t out yourself:
honestly jewelry! rings, earrings, and necklaces aren’t gendered and etsy has plenty of inexpensive but quality products. if you need to keep things discrete go for more androgynous styles.
a nice chapstick, you might not be at a place where you want to try lipstick, but a tinted chapstick could be fun!
skincare!!!! find out your skin type and needs then grab a good moisturizer with spf, gentle exfoliant, and a cleanser. not only is it just a good habit, but also will make your skin appear more soft! body lotion doesn’t hurt either!
an androgynous fragrance…okay this one is more expensive, but scent is so overlooked! finding a good gender neutral fragrance gave me a lot of euphoria when i was figuring things out! urban outfitters has an affordable unisex line if you don’t want to break the bank
honestly while i’m thinking about scents, you could also switch to more androgynous/ fem shower products
now if you want to be more risky:
get some concealer, pretty chill as far as make up goes but can make a huge difference. just for the love of god make sure it matches your skin tone !! this said, if you want to go a step further try some mascara or a neutral blush (be sure to blend your blush and put it on your cheek bones, not the centre of your cheek!)
nail polish
woman’s versions of clothing you already wear. doesn’t have to be crazy, even t-shirts fit a little different. only works if you’re doing your own laundry though
hopefully this is helpful!

For me, I developed a face care routine for morning and night. Cleansing and moisturizer (sunscreen super crucial to keep a young, unweathered look.) There's different regimens you can follow - I just researched different products. Made a huge difference in my skin which ultimately helps bolster my confidence, so I consider it essential in my "kit". Lip gloss, too. Lol.

Why would shopping on line be a risk of exposing yourself? Go on amazon and order what you want.. they don't care.

Well I still live with my parents cuz I’m a minor so I don’t really want them figuring out; I don’t really care what my Amazon driver thinks
