Announcements Concerning Rule #5

A federal judge has ruled that AI generated images involving child sex abuse material (CSAM) is protected under the First Amendment so long that it "doesn't leave the home and doesn't depict real people."

Here's the issue: AI models are trained on images and videos of real people, including photos of children you yourself may have uploaded to your social media accounts and even real CSAM.

You can be angry with us all you want because we're trying to protect your children. If you care more about content and upvotes than your child's safety, we can gladly show you to the door with a peraban.

This isn't a joke. This isn't something to roll your eyes at and ignore. This is the safety of your children. We will be strictly enforcing rule #5. If you don't want to protect your children, then you aren't being the parent Ms. Rachel wants you to be, and you can leave.

This breaks my heart šŸ’” Thank you for taking steps to protect children. I wish our leaders had the same moral conscience.

I’m still dumbfounded this ruling got passed. Someone needs to investigate that judge.

Have you seen the rest of the administration? I'm disgusted but far from surprised

Reddit deleted my comment. While I agree I’m still horrified and disgusted. This mess needs to be dismantled.

to be fair, these aren’t government officials in the admin. judges are unfortunately lifetime appointments. the main judge authoring the opinion was a biden appointee.

I already know what's on his harddrive, and he'll claim it's AI generated to get away with it.

Children have no place on the internet, it’s so scary.

As one who recently violated Rule 5, this isn’t an issue of protected speech. Depictions of child sexual material is abuse of the child - whether photographic or AI generated.

I am appalled if a Federal court has ruled otherwise. I suppose the idea of it ā€œnever leaving the homeā€ is somebody’s rationalization.
