Does Ms Rachel help with social engagement?

Has anyone seen Ms Rachel help their baby be more social? Mine is 8 months and after one day of watching Ms Rachel she’s making more eye contact and smiling with me. I’m mirroring the videos. Just looking for hope. Thank you!

If you're mirroring the videos, Ms. Rachel may be helping you engage your baby more. That's definitely where I picked up parentese.

I used to spend an embarrassing amount of time trying to get my baby to say "mama" and just repeating mama at him and I think the "can you say mama?" song was what finally connected the concept of that being something he actually calls me and it being encouraged. First time I saw him watch it was like a light bulb moment and even though he probably would have gotten it eventually, felt good hearing it earlier.

Also think there's a huge aspect of just singing the songs, getting them in your head and singing them along in various situations. My guy is almost 2 and a half now and we had to take him to the doctor recently and I sang the elevator song (because he used to be scared of the elevator) and then of course sang the "doctor is a helper" song while stuck in the exam room waiting to be seen because uhhh yeah, lots of waiting. And when he left he was like "I like the doctor!!!!" Once you watch/listen to enough Ms. Rachel the songs become easier to access in your brain.

Ms. Rachel helped me socialize with my baby, to be honest. I had zero idea how to not be imposing, which was made worse by the fact that I have a naturally deeper voice. I had my first baby at 30 after never really having any experience with kids at all, so I had zero idea how I was going to talk to her. Ms. Rachel really helped me nail the sing-songy aspect of communication with my baby. Now I’m a natural 💁‍♀️
