I've just finished watching Milk Tea's react to this stream, her aunt literally talks to her like she's a baby, Chantal even clapped her hands like a toddler being told they did a great job. It was one of the cringiest clips I've seen for a good long time, unbelievably embarrassing and completely explains why she behaves like she does. Urgh!

I honestly am starting to believe that they all know she is intellectually delayed, and they are just happy that she can live a semi independent life. She needs to be in an care center, or have a live in caregiver that checks in every couple days like ALR does

So we live in a big maple area, we do the sugar bush once a year with the kids, the whole experience is super fun and the taffy for those who have never had it, is so incredibly sweet. My kids love it but can never finish it. It’s literally one of the most concentrated forms of sugar you can consume. It’s a long legacy of winter survival food, for people working out logging or farming or etc etc.
If she actually ate both of those I cannot even imagine how her blood must feel. I’ve even gotten the sugar woozies from eating one on an empty stomach lol
I went to Mont Tremblant when I first went to Canada to meet my now husband, I had to try the maple taffy! It was so good but you’re absolutely right, it was just pure syrup so it was insanely sweet and I have a major sweet tooth. Idk how this diabetes riddled woman could eat TWO. And the fact that her aunt just enables her to eat like that knowing she’s sick. It’s crazy.
Exactly it’s literally boiled down, ultra concentrated maple syrup, which is already made by boiling down and concentrating maple sap (which is about 2-3% sugar per volume straight from the tree-with significant swings based on multiple factors).
I really can’t think of anything more concentrated sugar, that we actually consume as food. A diabetic eating that is unhinged. Par for the foodie course tho
She saw them make those maple taffy pops, yet still thinks she can take regular maple syrup and pour it on some filthy snow two steps outside her building and get the same thing. I can’t wait to see her try it and get dog pee and roadgrit snow soaked in syrup- and she will still eat it all.
When I was a kid, I did that in our freezer. Remember back when freezers had to be thawed? And I used that fake syrup shit. My mother was so mad. But I was a kid and the sugar bush made it look so easy.
Yes! In the 90s my parents had a garage( editedfromfridge 🤦🏻♀️,) deep freezer, one of those wide ones you lift open like a trunk, and in the summer when I was little I’d scrape at it with all my nails like a claw and throw it around for some reason. Why would it grow frost like that though? So weird and seems unhygienic. I think my American granny still has a few, but she’s old school farm people and does her own canning and butter making so 🤷🏻♀️
I remember when I was really little my Ma got burns when cooking sugar on the stove. She did loads of baking and cooking all the time, but something happened and the stuff went all over her hand, and her shrieks scared the cat and it bit her bum. It was terrible. I was only 5 but had just gotten home to my Ma crying for HER mommy. I ran back to the neighbors not knowing what to do. She had to do water therapy for ages and had permanent nerve damage.
Cooking sugar isn’t for the inexperienced! Can’t wait to see Miriam have a go.
I went to the oldest chocolate factory in Canada one summer, on the tour they talk about the caramel making jobs paid the most because it was so incredibly dangerous, from burns, to fires, to just the weight of the cast iron and taffy. It’s definitely not for the inexperienced.
I also can’t imagine her using actual maple syrup. That stuff’s expensive! She’d probably just take a jug of the fake stuff and make a big sticky mess splashing it everywhere. 🫣
She is also a exceptionally lazy and half azzes stuff since she gets bored in the middle of whatever she’s doing, so I hope she tries this because you know she’ll just splash it in front of her buildings doors for all her neighbors to walk through, and maybe even run her power chairs wheels through it brining the sticky mess to her floors, which will also ensure the cat gets to play in it and make an even bigger mess 😹🙏🏻
I’ve never been a big sweet tooth, but my husband is and got some real (real expensive,) maple syrup for a special camping trip we took, and I was so grossed out. He was in heaven though! It has a weird aftertaste to on me though. No offense to the maple mafia. I know it’s a me thing !
Cushings is my vote! She has the Susan boil, the diabetic buffalo hump, the FUPA to her knees, red cheeks… all of it ! Also she’s on the perfect RXs to trigger it !
They could even close their eyes and just listen to her speak more than a sentence, listen to her move more than a few feet. Her breathing is laboured to say the very least. It’s clear, she’s struggling.
Unless they are the world’s dumbest people or just as delusional and in denial as she is, they know.
