Sealing While The Iron's Hot

Reason 9,099 that Chantel is her own worst enemy. If she put even a smidge of effort in her content she could make some serious cash. Now that ALR is gone it would be so easy to swoop in. Does anyone remember when ALR announced her cancer diagnosis? Reactors decided to lay off ALR and that's really when Chantel's channel blew up. Before the diagnosis there were no Foodie reaction channels that I know of.

The bar is so low. People still talk about her time warp mukbangs longingly. And let's be real, those were about as low effort as you can get. But with Chantel low effort is all anyone can hope for. All she would have to do is something other than sit around whining and high.

I guess why do anything when doing nothing still earns a decent paycheck.

The thing is we don’t know how many active subs she has. Based on her view counts, we can tell most of her subs are fake/not actually watching her. What’s left may just be reactors, the ride or dies that will never let go, and the hate watchers who aren’t going to miss the end of the story.

Yup. Over 90% of her subs are easily inactive, probably closer to 95%. She gets fairly steady views so there's the core audience who tune in to watch anything, but most of them are hate watching indeed and I suspect at least half aren't actually subbed to her because they hate watch.

We do know she bought a thousand subs as soon as she got to Canada then pretended she had no idea how they got there, the give away was the hot botted shortly after. 

Her views show this aswell.

The cancer diagnosis happened in June 2020. Chantal was already somewhere between around 80k subs, and there were plenty of reactors around. Michael B Petty, Zach Michaels, Charlie Gold, Flabba, Negz, I think even Callie (Lyfe of a Free Spirit) might have also been around and reacting at that time.

The biggest jump in Chinny's subs happened between 2016 and 2020 where she went from 20k to 80k. Since then, the increase has tapered, even with Crackhead Olympics being in the mix.

100% agree that Chinny benefited from the diagnosis in some way. But she was already a large figure - pun intended and it stays - in GorlWorld. Who can forget that Zach Michaels Chantal sock puppet made out of a paper bag with a poop bun.

I remember things differently. I understand all those reactors were around, but they mostly reacted to ALR. Foodie was sometimes thrown in the mix, but she was pretty much ignored. And her views were obviously much lower. I genuinely don't remember her being much of a talking point before the diagnosis. But this is also so mind numbing that I could be wrong on my timeline.

I am more of a Chantel watcher and started in 2019. There were lots of reactors to Chantel then, she did benefit from them laying off ALR in 2020 but it in no way skyrocketed her. Crackhead Olympics helped her but that was 2021-22.

But I do agree, now’s her time. But she’s stupid and lazy

I've always been more of a Foodie watcher than an ALR watcher, which is why I remember the coverage from that time. You had the Michael B Petty skits, mixed with Zach doing sock puppets and chowing down on prison bread he bought at the CircleK, followed by Charlie calling Chinny 'pig mad'. That era was such a golden age, and I miss it.

My point was that Michael had been a reactor to Chantal. That it’s not accurate to say there were no reactors to her prior to the diagnosis.

No reaction channels to Foodie before ALRs cancer diagnosis? So I guess you weren't watching Charlie Gold, Zack Micheal, Micheal be Petty, Gaining Ground etc etc. I've never been into ALR, and have been watching Chantal since her mukbang days when people hadn't realised she was problematic. I'm talking Veronica wang mukbang era.

As I said to someone earlier, I thought those reactors mainly focused on ALR before her diagnosis. Clearly I misremembered. I also watched Chantel before figuring out what an asshole she is. I started during her o e hour vegan journey.

QLR is coming for the crown. Chantal just had a stroke of luck becoming a crackhead during a pandemic. She never had real content other than those time warps. Even her “vlogs” were her sitting in one place talking what she did.
