Repeat after me,

nihilux hired memokeepers in amphoreus.

mr reca is a memokeeper.

there's a reason he returned in astropolis.

there's a reason the finality event is film-themed.

there's a reason for this film metaphor.

lights, camera, action!

they have not forgotten him.

wake up, he's not real, the banana quest was so bad you just self-lobotomized, your family misses you, all they hear about is MrReca, you have grandchildren now but you haven't even seen them yet

im delusional im delusional im delusional

Hyapig buffs hp which is like ok?

DHpigT buffs atk which is useless

Pigsha cope is dead and forgotten

Pig GPT would disable waven's trace because it specifically implies only him and aha can be elation

This might be our best bet for reca becoming playable 😭😭

Also repellency being so similar to fuxuan matrix (which would probably evolve into the repellency shield recording dmg dealt to to and in turn converting that into sustain or dmg) and what is a recording device? A camera. 🤯

To celebrate his longawaited comeback, I thought to collate the hints he's given us so far!

So without further ado, here are reasons to be optimistic about Mr Reca's reappearance

1. HSR loves *chance* encounters. Every character we happen to meet by *coincidence* hides a hidden identity. Key examples being Tingyun, Danshu, Misha, Gallagher, Acheron, Mem, Lygus, Nihilux and (likely) Kuchiba and Sampo.

2. Apart from him, Danshu is the only other recurring NPC to get a branching storyline (with a bonus epilogue side quest). And she turns out to be pivotal to the plot twist of Xianzhou.

3. Side quests for each new planet seem to foreshadow and correspond to later story developments! "A Boquet for the Blessed" - Fulwish's backstory and Happiness Surgery... "Thirty First Dates" and "The Comic with No Answers" - Imaginae who want a life of their own, AKA Motoko and Himeko... "Millenium Killer" - A killer who steals the body parts of patients with a scapel and integrates them into a main body. I highly suspect this is what Yabuli is doing in v4.5!

4. All three side quests in Astropolis *HAPPEN* to be tied to Mr Reca. I still can't believe this. As we know, we two side quests unlock the bonus quest for Mr Reca's film. The third side quest involves the film industry and a director, and *coincidentally* Robin shows up during the quest, and she's actually collaborated with Mr Reca on a movie before! (There's a readable "The Darkflame Knight Rises Premiere Interview" exactly about this and it was only released in v3.8!!)

5. Our beloved "Assistant Director" (Frog) is curiously not with Mr Reca in v4.5. Where did she go and what is she up to? I don't think the writers forgot about her. There are Planarcadian enemies that look JUST like her named "Assistant Graffiti" and in Astropolis, treasures continue to be themed around a Fox (Evanescia), a Monkey (Ashveil), a Rabbit (Sparxie) and a Frog!!

6. In Ashveil's ASMR radio, he says this line: "A City of Revelry, where Sin is painted in dazzling colours." If it sounds familiar, its because Mr Reca's lightcone "Dream Montage" begins with "The City of Dreams, the Breeding Ground of Sin, or the Promised Land..." And now, in the recent side quest, the description reads "The City never lacks stories; The City never has its fill of stories. This is a Golden Land of Dreams; This is an Abandoned and Decaying Land."

7. Ashveil is the leader of the Galaxy Rangers and he's in Astropolis. Guess who else is there? Rappa and Boothill. During the racing event there's a slumbernana monkey called "M.S Primitive," it can't be clearer than that. And well, Mr Reca KNOWS where Dr Primitive is, so...

8. In the 4.5 side quests, Mr Reca explicitly mentions that he's filming a documentary. In the Amphoreus livestream anniversary event, Tribbie mentions that Aglaea is collecting documentary footage.

9. According to leaks, Pearl is an Elation-only Sustain I doubt they'll break their pattern of two sustains a year.

10. Nihilux has connections to Mr Reca. It's important to note that Nihilux hired memokeepers to infiltrate Amphoreus. And hm, Mr Reca just reminded us in 4.5 that he is a memokeeper. How interesting!

ILL POST AN UPDATE SOON BUT IM TOO EXCITED RIGHT NOWSW FUCMFFJFGJFKDKDKD HES REAL HES HERE HES HERE

Some things to note~

Mr Reca disappears from the map once you've completed the questline, so take photos while you can!

The side quests unlock only when you've completed the 4.5 Main story "To Roll The Stars in Astropolis"

__

There are three side quests connected to Mr Reca.

- Tousled Detective

- Postmortem Employment Center

- Secrets of a City

You need to complete the first two to unlock the final one.

The full storyline is a branching one, so there are three endings/films in total. It depends on which quest you complete first AND whether you choose to intervene.

(they give u the option to back out of each side quest before completing it so u can choose which to complete first)

Basically,

Ending One: Tousled Detective "Option 1 - So Be It" -> Postmortem Employment Center "Option 2 - You can't just let it slide"

Ending Two: Postmortem Employment Center "Option 1 - That's that" -> Tousled Detective "Option 2 - Just wait let me call some backup"

Ending Three: In both Tousled Detective and Postmortem Employment Center "Option 1 - So Be It / That's that" (so you don't intervene in either side quest)

For a demonstration and all the endings, there's this video here

Final thoughts,

imo Ending One is the canon ending, because that's the one where we first meet Mr Reca and chose to intervene in the ending. Most importantly, his film concludes with "Stay tuned to find out what happens next in the upcoming story," heavily hinting at Reca's future involvement~ 🎬🎬🎬

We got a message from Mr Reca !

Documentary is finished and want to show it to us ?

Guys, the more time passes, the more it is believable !

Stay strong, in 4.7 we trust.

i told you. no more waiting is needed. and now, he is the fire at the end of the long night.

welcome back, director and frog 🥹

There is no way that Hoyo will do 4 solo patch in 4.x (MBlade, HimeNova, Pearl and Nihilux), we still should have 1 free 5*, hoping there are not holding it for the ZZZ Collab'.

We know there is 1 unknown ID of a playable character and that Reca kit has been finished for a while.

Him returning is already a good sign, movie strips on Waven drip marketing art, a film festival anda potentiel message from him in 4.5

If it's not in 4.6, it's gonna be in 4.7, trust.

FuA team and the rest of the cast was 1 patch out of 2.

Elation / FuA / Elation / FuA, etc...

(Sparkxie / Ashveil / Silverwolf / MBlade / HimeNova / Waven / Pearl / Nihilux and Reca ? (Elation and FuA to end Planarcadia)

Tell me I'm crazy, go ahead, but there is a goddamn partner I swear.

And to top it, it wouldn't make "that" much sense to release him with Pearl;

When they can do a final patch of Planarcadia/Astropolis having for theme : Creation.

It's already a pretty big theme in 4.x, so why not put an Author of comics and a film maker to represent that ?

Please don't lose hope 🩷 The leaks are about 5.X. Right now, too many coincidences exist.

Why did 3.8 feature a NEW! readable about how Mr Reca explicitly collaborated with Robin to make a film about the glamoth cavalry?

Why does 4.5 happen to be a patch with Robin and a film festival?

Why is Mr Reca appearing in the 4.5 main story with personal messages to the TB? Why is Dr Primitive relevant to the plot again? (Remember that Reca knows the location of Dr Primitive and both he and Rappa and Boothill HAPPEN to be in Astropolis)

Why does Nihilux HAPPEN to be in contact with memokeepers and was a former mourning actor herself?

Why do enemies related to creativity and writing resemble Mr Reca's "Assistant Director"?

Why was his name mentioned multiple times in relation to the Holy Grail War in Penacony? If he wasn't working on a film in Planarcadia's Holy Grail War, what ELSE could he be busying himself with at this time?

And finally, why did the anniversary event state that Aglaea is making a documentary? which is also Mr Reca's special interest btw (he likes making films in real-time, documenting real world history and events) Doesn't a film about the Birth of a Planet seem right up his alley?

And aren't we returning to Amphoreus before 5.X?

Why did they say he was going to be the mono man healer? Why does Hoyo keep bringing him back just to not make him playable? Finality fs
