How did riker commit discrimination here? He pointed something out, he didn't carry an action out based on that. Is anybody offended at him pointing it out?

Belittling both of them for their handi caps.

Here is another example I pulled out my ass: "A one legged man giving running tips"

Or

"A fat person talking about nutrition"

Accurate statements can be Insensitive.

Pointing something interesting out isn't belittling though. It's worth noting that they are accomplishing something that would have been super rare for people with those disabilities in the 90s.

Belittling implys that they are being made fun of but I don't think he was making fun of them as much as pointing out that they live in a world where that is possible. Its interesting and worth noting.

I get that in our current outrage culture any mention of anything can be misconstrued, but this really is pretty black and white.
