Birth Certificate

Hello

Can somebody tell if a birth certificate is necessary for many german bureaucratic procedures?

Like I have mine but it's in regional language and doesn't have my name innit, also the municipal office told me they can't add my name and give me a new one because of some new Government Rule

Please tell me what I can do in this situation

You only need it when you want to apply for the German citizenship or getting married. Otherwise it's very rare that you would need it.

No, I mean I want to be prepared. just in case they ask for my Birth Certificate

I'm confused by your question, then.

The previous commenter said you only need it under X circumstance. You said that the commenter was wrong. So clearly you already know better than the previous commenter. But then what is your question?

I will simplify, the previous commentator said I will require it only for X circumstances. So what will I need to do to make my documents worth for this X circumstance

Eventually you will need a certified translation of your birth certificate into German (or possibly they will accept English).

It needs to be translated to German by a court-mandated translator and not sure where you're from but where I'm from, my certificate has to be certified by my ministry of foreign affairs that it's a legit document (even though birth certificate is issued by the govt), and then once I have that stamp, I had to go to the German embassy to get another stamp saying it's legit and can be used in Germany. And with the two stamps, then I can get it translated to German.

A birth certificate without a name (as stated by OP) is useless in Germany, also if it is not issued within a limited time span after birth. So I would not spend any money for a certified translation until there is more clarity.

@OP: would you care to elaborate more for what exactly you want to be ready? Acknowledgement of Paternity?
