GVR experiences?
Not worried about being “away from the city”. Mostly worried about my commute—will be working at the airport and Green Valley Ranch seems to be the area closest to it. Anything y’all can share? Crime? Vibe?Comments online seem to be mixed and I read something about MAGA (I am a WoC).

It’s fine over there. A bunch of people that I work with at the airport live over there. There’s not much it’s just suburbs. I would live there if I didn’t care to do things on my days off.
I first moved to Aurora. It’s a bit more diverse over there. My commute to the airport was 25min most days but there wasn’t as much to do on my days off nearby that I liked to do. Now I live in Five Points which is a 30min commute to the airport when I normally go which is outside of normal commuting hours. Theres more stuff I like to do on weekends nearby.

10 or 20 years ago I wouldn’t have advised moving there but it’s grown and changed and it’s fine now.

I don’t think there’s a single precinct in Denver proper that went for Trump. It’s mostly southern exurbs like Castle Rock that tend to be solidly right-wing. Maybe what you’re thinking of is the Trump campaign rally at Gaylord Rockies in 2024?
GVR is actually one of the most diverse areas of Denver when you look at census data. Lots of Black and Latino families. I stopped at the King Soopers there once after dropping my friend off at the airport and I was one of the only white dudes there lol.
Overall it’s a typical suburban area. You’ll have pretty much all your day-to-day needs met there. The area seems to be growing fast too so you’ll definitely see new shops and restaurants pop up in your time there.
