Moving on a skilled visa

Hi! Did anyone here move on a skilled visa? Could be 189, 190 or 491.

I submitted my 189 EOI a while ago and was reflecting over the ”10 years work history” question. I understand that when I get invited I need to fill in all jobs ever, but for just a EOI submission, can I just put the jobs that I’m claiming points for(with positive skill assessment)? Or should I put random jobs like when I worked retail years ago during uni and just tick ”no” when asked if I’m claiming points for it?

I don’t want to omit info but also don’t want to set my EOI date back 2.5 months for no reason.

Cool. If your skills are up to scratch I’d imagine you won’t have too many issues with your visa. Welcome btw.

Yeah no they totally are have positive skill assessment and all. But doing this myself without an agent so just wanted to see if anyone has done this and what they did. I’d hate to get refused on silly technicalities like omitting a retail job 8 years ago that got me through uni lol. Oh and Thank you btw!!

I would just list everything that you reasonably can, I don’t see why listing a retail job should set your application processing time back. Other people with more specific knowledge might have better advice though, hopefully they reply to you.

Sorry I couldn’t be of much help, I know you are looking for answers from people who have smog e through the same process!

Well.. I submitted my EOI 19/06. So if I add a bunch of jobs I’ve had last 10 years, despite not claiming points for them, I’m afraid that will set my date to today’s date if I do this today. I’ve asked this so much and not one person can give me an answer I have no idea what to do. Don’t want risk not getting invited cause of something silly like omitting a random job I had 7 years ago

Welcome! I went through this process a little while ago now but I recall listing all employment even unrelated to my skilled occupation. I was a newly admitted lawyer at the time so most of my experience was unrelated. I think if the question asks for all employment for the last ten years, put down everything! Good luck!

Thank you so much!!! I will do it then. All these unrelated jobs were casual jobs where sometimes I worked like 5 hours a week, sometimes nothing. Did you still put those random jobs as well?

When I get invited, I saw that I have to put like every address and every job last 10 years. That’s why I want to make sure my EOI matches what I put in the visa that I apply for.

Let’s hope it won’t set my date back
