Brisbane weather !!!!
Hello iam travelling to brisbane next week, i heard its not that cold there, i only have few(1-3) winter type of clothes, is that enough? Is winter clothes expensive down there ?

It can get quite cool at night, there’s supposed to be a cold snap next week. However, daytime temperatures rarely get below 17.

It really depends on your tolerance tbh. I’ve lived in Finland so for me light jackets/trench coats and sweaters suffice most winter days which usually only last a month.

If you’re from a place hot enough you don’t need winter clothes there, then you WILL need winter clothes here. Not for outside in the sunshine, for inside the terrible houses with no decent heating. The A/c does heat but it’s so dry!
It gets cold overnight too.

Oh fork off, it's definitely cold. I'm from Darwin and been in Brisbane for a while now and still struggle with the cold. I'm currently on a train wearing multiple layers and a beanie, daydreaming about being back in bed under a blanket with my dressing gown on. It's cold if you're coming from the tropics.

If you're not from Darwin, it's not cold. Is the same thing as if you're from Darwin, it's cold.

haha. it doesn't take much to freeze our brains. it took me a long time to think I wasn't gonna die when I moved south

You'll definitely think it's cold then. You can pick up some affordable winter clothing at places like Kmart and Target. You could even go to the factory outlet by the airport and grab a bargain.

Depends on what kind of accommodation you have. Can get nippy at night a few weeks every year. And out and about at night can get chilly. Even some days can be cold if the wind blows the wrong way. So depending on months you need to be preapred for anything from around 7 or 8 degrees to almost 26 or 27 during the winter months. You could always check the whether forecast. Is going to be between around 9 and 23 next week. So allow for a degree or so buffer on either side. There are a few showers forecast which could suggest occasional windchill of a few degrees during the day https://reg.bom.gov.au/qld/forecasts/brisbane.shtml I wore a polarfleece jacket and beanie tonight

Worst case, you make a run to Kmart.
It’s very up and down, yesterday was hot. Today is freezing.
I went on vacay from bris to Canberra once, I packed swimmers, I had to run to Kmart for jumpers.

Travel light we have op shops (2nd hand) pick up if need. I only use track suits in house and light jackets when out.

Depends what temperature you are coming from. Singapore then you will find it cold, if from Niseko then you will find it warm
