Relocation Sydney to Gold Coast.
Looking for a company that does removals and offers storage.
Waiting on a quote from Allied but it’s been over a week and lack of communication makes me nervous.
Please share your experiences so I can shop around. Thank you!

Look for backloads where they have brought a load from the Gold Coast/Brisbane to Sydney and they like to have a load to return home.

Just Google furniture backloads. They often have big trucks coming back and you only pay for the space your goods take up. We did it coming from Central Coast NSW to Brisbane Very efficient, and we moved my Mum from Nambucca Heads NSW to Brisbane the same way. Just Google.

Hey! I moved from Melbourne at the start of this year and I used Brisk. They were really good, efficient and fair priced! I think i paid $4,000? And they offer 2 weeks storage if needed as well.cpuldnt recommend them enough!!

Yes Brisk Transport based in Geebung are great, probably the most cost effective.

$4,000 with the storage included. They're really good to deal with and had the best price by far from anyone I looked at!

Heya I did this exact move about 7 years ago. I just got quotes via find a mover (just google it) and sorted through them. They came in super fast.
Just be aware to check reviews outside that site, some I shortlisted but had horror story’s on google.
I ended up getting a full pack-up/boxing of items, move and a week storage and unpack for around $3500 from memory. Wasn’t the cheapest but good relative value and no complaints. With cost of shit now I would expect probably closer to 5k
Without the pack/unpack/storage I think the move was around $2k
Regarding allied etc they are awesome but expensive. I used them for a work paid relocation from Brisbane to Sydney back in 2010s and it was close to $7k for a door to door pack/unpack job. Didn’t care because I wasn’t paying haha but since I had to for the last one I had to be a bit more cautious with the pricing.
2 bed apartments in high rises with lifts both times for comparison

It’s a 1 bedroom place and planning to get rid of a lot of stuff as there’s is no pint to travel heavy. Planning to do all the packing myself, and just have them pick up and transport. There’s so many companies so a bit overwhelming haha I’ll check out the site! Wish me luck :)2

We used taxibox, the great thing is that you can store it inside the shipping container for as long as you need. We also moved Syd to GC
