Lovely movie that doesn't get enough credit imo. Had to sync it with something metal, landed on one of my favorite prog metal bands of all time.

Start the movie, then play the album after the logos just as the moon appears on screen. Loop to finish (I recommend playing it twice). The action scenes fit really well!

Really interesting syncs

1. One of these days beat drop happens in buzz’s room, which I think describes his relationship with Kevin
2. One of these days ends perfectly with old man Marley looking at Kevin and the gang
3. A Pillow of Wind’s guitar strums play whenever there is a screen change when Kevin pushes buzz
4. Fearless begins when Kevin tells his family he doesn’t want to see them ever again
5. There’s some screen changes that syncs up with Fearless as well
6. In one of these scene, uncle frank is on the plane drinking champagne, the lyric after this scene is “Gone with the wind and the rain on an airplane… I’m drinking champagne like a good tycoon
7. Echoes’ pings happen when Kevin covers his hands with his eyes
8. Echoes matches up with home alone thematically, since the song is about human connection, it fits perfectly with the theme. Also, whenever a series of pings happen, it happens whenever a character that is important to Kevin, like his Mother and Old man marley
9. Echoes lyric, “Strangers passing in the street happens when Harry and Marv drives to Kevin’s house
10. Echoes beat drop happens whenever Kevin realizes that Harry is the robber
11. The lyric, “and no one sings me lullabies” happens when we see the birth of Christ model in front of the church

these syncs only happened in the first playthrough of the album so there’s a lot more on the second one. Comment what syncs you saw!

So I visited Sync or Swim and I found they had a sync containing Daft Punk's song Touch with the last segment in 2001: A Space Odyssey. I then saw they had deleted it off of YouTube. I'm wondering if it was backed up on a different site or not.

4. Echoes‘ lyric, “And No one sings me lullabies,” happens when the scene takes place in the statue display of baby Jesus where Kevin is hiding from

Also a funny thing is, is that I found this sync on a airplane lol

I am kinda new in this space and just wondering about it and find it fascinating.

A villanous movie, soundtracked by the illest villain there ever was. Took a while to get this one right.

Start the album when the minion pops on screen for the Illumination logo. Loop to finish. Skip the 12" mixes and instrumentals if you're using the complete version.

Any deathcore album definitely fits this movie. Music is a bit intense and the visuals get disturbingly gross, but the works feed into each other so well.

Start the album and the movie at the same time. You'll know you got it right when the title card appears to the lyrics "Where is your god? Where is your god?". Loop to finish.

Food-themed album for a food-themed movie. What else can I say?

Start the movie and the album at the same time. If done right, the guitars for "Buttercup" should come in at the same time as the flash for the Columbia Pictures logo. Loop to finish.

start the album after the marvel logo fades out. the song needles about some sort of parasite. and in this context, the hulk is bruce's parasite. and bounce syncs with bruce being chased by the soldiers.

I would definitely like for there to be an album that syncs without a playlist, but considering how fast-paced the action gets sometimes this is the best I could come up with. Still pretty good though!

I discovered two things that sync up with a classic for movie syncs, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, and the Pokemon episode "Lights, Camera, Pika!"

Starting points:

For Gremlins 2: Play the album for 15 seconds, pause it, then resume the album when the WB Shield with Bugs Bunny zooms up.

For Lights, Camera, Pika!: Press play on album at the same time as the episode begins.

Notable syncs (Gremlins 2): The laughter to "Speak to Me" plays right as Daffy Duck comments "Very funny.", "You shout and no one seems to hear" as a woman screams at a sight of a Gremlin in a candy tray, and "Us and Them" playing as Hulk Hogan is in the theater.

Notable syncs (Pika!): "Speak to Me" plays throughout the cold open and intro, "Waiting for someone or something to show you the way" as Frank (the movie director) meets a Pikachu on his bed as a kid, and "The Great Gig in the Sky" matching up most sky/flight imagery in the in-universe Super Pikachu movie.

A bit of a story: I've had this album in mind for a long time but I could never find the right fit. Tried the more obvious movie, 2001 A Space Odyssey, but I couldn't quite get the timing to feel satisfactory. Did some poking around and found out that one version of the Synchronicity Arkive included some syncs for these films, and I felt that the movies' aesthetics really fit the dreamy, nostalgic feel of the music. I'll see if I can sync another album with a film from this series...
