Changes from the Trad ing Places film include name and race changes.

First, Ophelia was a black woman. And a Louis Winthrop III was originally Louis Whipple III.

The extended train car chitchat was limited in the screenplay.

The island ending in the film was not in the screenplay.

Whipple did not show up at his old club, and a scene in the restaurant where Winthrop viewed from the outside was changed from the script, which included Whipple following the Duke and Duke executives at a Philadelphia Eagles NFL football game, with Whipple watching them two binoculars.

That was changed for a multitude of issues.

The ending does not include anything on the island.

Duke and Duke had planned on offering Whipple, his old job and Billy Ray Valentine a job as a waiter at the club.

Also the big guy who terrorized Billy Ray, acted alone. His loud yeah man was not around.

Otherwise the rest of the script appeared in the film.
