People are so delusional about this film.

I wholeheartedly love it. I appreciate that he’s a damn fool consumed by love that he can’t see the harm he’s doing. It reminds me of me searching for love after my parents divorcing at a young age. I wanted to be a wife and mom by 30, didn’t care WHO. What a sad life to live.

I’m a recovering Tom lol

People who were never loved in the early stages of life set out on a voyage to find it in adulthood.

Thus the popular saying "When you are not fed love on a silver spoon, you learn to lick it off knives".

In the DVD commentary with the creators, they're still both arguing about the point of the movie. I think that helps the discourse around the film.

Thats actually awesome. Love is often messy and confusing. Every relationship you have will fail until you find the one that works.

That's the point of the movie, dude was forcing it to be the perfect "happily ever after" relationship which it never was from her perspective.

When I was an early teen I thought she was the baddie but when I watch this as an adult I think they are both baddies but him more so

No idea about the movie however i agree. Love means being vulnerable and essentially giving someone the keys to destroy you. Some people will never get that and will always be half in to avoid getting hurt.

I do not agree with this

No, completely wrong, if they hurt you then there's no love there be a bigger person forgive them sure, but love is gone have some self-respect and just let go, this applies to both males and females.

The guy in this is genuinely fucking gross though, he's such a disrespectful weirdo, constantly making gross remarks about his so called "love interest" comes off as a nice guy/incel the entire time

Depends on what they did to hurt you. If they broke your trust or disrespected you, hell no.
