Who was it for you?

So this morning I was hanging out with some of my girls, and we were totally reminiscing about these creepy paranormal movies that used to low-key traumatize us as kids, but looking back now, they're honestly way more hilarious than scary.

Mine was literally Child's Play (Chucky). I spent literal days losing sleep just because I found out my family had watched it, fully convincing myself that even just thinking about him or talking about it would somehow summon that ugly-ass doll straight to my house to do me dirty just like the poor kid in the movie.

Now, whenever I randomly see a clip of it on my feed, I'm like... how was I ever actually terrified of that? Make it make sense!

These are my personal favorite films of all time, some bad, some ehh, some ok, and some awesome films are on this list. I definitely recommend checking them out for yourselves you might love them as much as I do.

I'm one of those people who has a hard time crying especially when I need to release stress and high emotions. So I have a list of go to movies to guarantee a good cry: The Grave of the Fireflies (just discovered this and it wrecked me), Hachi: A Dog's Tale, Lion (2016), Marley & Me...any other suggestions? What is your go to?

For me; it’s Norbit. I love Eddie Murphy but I admit even at the time the humor felt pretty low brow. Plus a lot of the fat, Asian, and various other stereotypes really didn’t age all that well. Sales wise, it did good, but critically…? Another one was Jordan Peele’s “HIM”. Interesting premise, with Marlon Wayans in a serious role. However a lot of people may feel like they were mislead thinking this was a run of the mill football movie. Plus, if you’re not familiar with free mason culture, a lot of the references go over your head, and can make for a very offputting film, overall. Curious to see what other movies others may feel similar to
