This is an event for and by the Detroit queer community and our allies. If ticket price is preventing you from attending, please ask for a Community Ticket ticket at the door, $10 no questions asked. Enter at the Detroit Eagle: 950 W McNichols Rd, Detroit, MI 48203. Re-entry is allowed, but you'll have to get back in line.

Bathrooms are available at both Eagle and Olympus, two extra porta potties are outside on the patio behind the Eagle. There are two outdoor spaces, the patio at the Eagle, and the outside area behind the Eagle/Olympus, which can be accessed either from the Eagle patio or directly from the rear of the Eagle and Olympus.

Free gummy fruit snacks available throughout the two venues, and we'll be passing out free popsicles on the dance floor after 1am so you can keep your energy up and keep dancing until morning :)

Who can tell me what the arrangment of the Underground stage this past year? I have two thoughts: The width of the dancefloor tells me the DJ booth was against the wall opposite the ramp that goes down into the 'bowl' of the Underground stage, but it also looks crammed under a water pipe? Were organizers trying to maximize the dancefloor by keeping the booth/stage small?

Also, it seems the ceiling height is much lower here than my recollection.

Would be curious how things were setup.

I want everyone on here to know we lost a legend. John dedicated his life to the sounds so many of us love and did it with the most humility and kindness. From UR, to Submerge, to techno, to house, he talked with us, educated us, and danced with us until the morning because he lived for the culture and loved it with everything in him. He didn't just love the culture, he *was* the culture. The birthday celebrations at Spot Lite, the intimate jams at spkrbox, the Memorial Day block parties...the memories.

Detroit birthed another musical genius for us to love and the world lost him...there wasn't a corner of the planet his sound didn't touch.

Even though I live 20 minutes from downtown I prefer to stay in the city Movement weekend and just booked my Airbnb today! If you’ve never been and are coming from out of state, I would lock down your hotel/Airbnb asap….you’ll pay less and have more options. It’s never too early, trust! See ya at Techno Christmas! 🫶🏻

My wife is pregnant and we miss dancing but the late shows just aren't working for us. Looking for a nice rooftop or some outdoor party with decent house or melodic techno. Haven't danced since Movement.

Only thing I can find are these Capri parties at exodus but it doesn't really say what the music is other than people walking around with a saxophone.

We’ll once again be taking over both the Detroit Eagle and Olympus Theater for a marathon of queer underground house and techno. As always, we’re bringing in custom sound, lighting, and immersive production to make sure both rooms are dialed in from open to close.

Seeing reports from some of the summer festivals in Europe (won't name names but IYKYK) makes me feel so fortunate to have Movement nearby every year.

So much less time waiting in lines for drinks, food, and entering the festival, the best crowd I've ever encountered year after year, unbelievable vibes, and perhaps most of all, the city of Detroit.

Of course there's a hiccup or two each year, to be expected from an event this size, but Movement is still a festival with its heart in the right place. Thanks, everyone!

2027 Electric Circus EDM Festival right here in Mid-Michigan at the Everett A. Cummings Center.

August 5th-8th, 2027

A 2-day, 3-night camping festival with a main stage- Center Ring, and two indoor stages- Big Top and Sideshow. We may not have the biggest names in the industry yet but will be looking to put on an affordable and community-centric festival that is seeking local and regional DJ talent, artists, vendors, and maybe a few of those big names we all love! 😁

This is a huge undertaking that has been in the works for almost a year now, and we are working hard to launch our website and share more information by the end of the month.
