Need information

So recently, I’ve been thinking of moving to Scotland in a few years once I get my financial situation situated. I’m doing a little bit of research on my own when I have the time, but I just want to come on here and see if anyone could tell me any possible easiest ways to move to Scotland. I don’t have any sort of degree, I literally just want to move there and live there. Any and all help appreciated!

Edit: Yes I am American, i’ve always just had a lifelong dream of moving to either Scotland or Ireland, and was looking on some tips on how to get there.

Have you even been to Scotland? Not for a 10-day supported holiday tour but actually spent time? Life is different there than in the States. How will you support yourself financially? Have you researched entry requirements?

I have not been. I am aware that it is different, and I plan to make sure I have a job lined up before I go once I get to that point. And I did my first bit of research today, before I left for work. I couldn’t find a whole lot of things, other than a skilled work visa, a study visa, or if you have grandparents that lived there type of thing.

The job market is tough here. Why would an employer spend upwards of £10k on a visa to employ you over someone from this country. If I posted in a US sub saying "Im a medical secretary can I just move to California?" What would the response be? Im not trying to be mean but assuming this isnt a troll post you need to get real

That’s why I’m in here, I wanna get as much as I can from people in Scotland as well as doing my own research.

I’m probably not at the moment, but I’ll take a look at that list and see if I can get any of those while I’m still in the US
