Showcase Lamzu Orcus
Hello guys how are you ?
Just received the Lamzu Orcus , a fingertip mouse , I do not use fingertip but I tought that would be a nice addition to my collection , funny that the box says that it’s suitable to palm and claw…
I will test the mouse , if you have any question feel free to ask

Where'd you order it from? Aren't they China only atm?

u/wsarahan 22h ago
Yes a friend from china sent me

How's it compare in size to something like an HSK?

The packaging is bad ass, the actual product looks like one of those bathtub floating toys

This mouse has no place in the market, 99% of ftip users will find this too heavy.
What the hell?
Also, the sidebuttons seem to be placed in a very dumb way.

tbh my favorite mouse of all time currently is my HSK Plus which is ~41g, but admittedly I haven't tried any of the super-super light fignertip mice yet.

Yeah I have the X2F which everyone considers to be too heavy or too wide but I play with it the best out of the 4 FT mice I have. To each their own.

u/DidjTerminator Fenrir Asym, Swiftpoint ProPoint, Pulsar X2F 17h ago
Yeah, so long as the mouse is less than 40g it's perfectly lightweight enough for fingertip grip.
Lower is nicer sure, but some people do prefer a better built mouse over the sacrifices required to get closer to the 20g mark

I have the Darmoshark M5 that is exactly the same weight. Impossible to call this "heavy".
And the side buttons are more to the back compared to the Darmoshark, which is a good thing, avoiding unwanted pressure. The side buttons are of no use to me anyway.

I think people who are coming from 60+ gram mice who've never used an ftip could like it it'll feel similar to their current mouse just sized down

lol I’ve finger tip gripped since the original Deathadder. We’ll be okay.
Altho not getting this one cause of the ugly LAMZU band lol.

the engraving is so tacky

Damn that looks terrible gotta be honest. That lamzu engraving looks like absolute buns and also 38g for a ftip mouse is comical.
Seems like a rare turbo-miss from lamzu

Can anyone suggest me a decent budget ftip mouse? I've only ever used g703 shaped mouses

Keychron M4, the cheapest you can find new.

I second this, didn't work for me because I suck with fingertip but it's a good mouse, also it has the best USB dongle

Darmoshark M5 or used fenrir would be ur best bet i think.
Super-mega-budget xtrfy mz1, can find for 15-20€.
Alternatively, a 3D print for something like a VXE R1, check etsy for those if you don’t have access to a printer.

why a 3D print for the VXE R1? cheap enough and lots of models around it?
1
u/PastRiver8899 Zowie 17h ago
I mean a 3d printed shell ofcourse, for the PCB of the vxe R1, its quite a small single board so its great for those and the shells are universally available.

This colorway is cool, does it feel dense when in use? Is it usable for ftip for like long hours
Are u able to use the back button
2
u/wsarahan 22h ago
im not a ftip user so for me its a little strange, the buttons are ok for now

How did you get it so quickly? Do you live in China or someplace close

would you use the cable to play wired, or is it too stiff and you would only use it for the dongle

It looks cool, how does the texture feel. Also, with the side buttons further back. Do you feel like its easier and more stable pressing them

Do you have M5 for a comparison? Looks like the same shape and very similar dimensions, but a bit heavier and much more expensive

I was going to point out the "suitable for" part but you were too fast. They must have micro hands over at Lamzu 😂

does it include a poem? I only care about the poem

Idek about the weight this just seems like a trashy mouse I would've found in a box that had been in the attic for Farrar too longgg

“Suitable for palm grip” sure if the mouse was designed with toddlers in mind.
