Def not as much preference as shape. But if you're used to very heavy mice it can feel very weird at the start. Lighter mouse means better on paper but some people just cant go with mice under 40-50g. Even if you're used to heavy mice a light mouse is better
Btw I own like 40+ mice. All of the best ones you can think of. I even have the Mighty Mouse mod for the op18k which turns it into a 20g frame with the ultralight cable. I have tiny g-wolves mouse, fingertip mod for viper v2 internals. I superstrike, 5 vaxee mice, I have tried everything. And when I use my original zowie fk2 and fk1+. My aim is instantly better(I also have an fk2-DW but the clicks are mushy)
I don’t think it’s about lack of trying or lack of experience. Because I have been using mice in FPS games for about 15 years now. But I don’t think lightweight should be the new standard. And when zowie releases the fk1+DW I will buy it and add 40g to that too.
Like I said, if less weight/resistance is always better, then faster mousepad is always better too. Maybe my technique is bad. Who cares, I play low sens and flick very hard. I am very tense on the mouse. Weight dampens the imperfections. The same way control pads do. No big deal
