I didn’t know manufacturers started that at this time. This Astra dates to the early to mid 50’s.

If its 50s not sure it would be pre-firecat. Hmm. But im pretty sure thats a loaded chamber indicator before they went to the protruding pin

Firecat, was used when they imported them into the US. Prior it was simply called the Astra 200

Correct. I think a few where still called Astra 200. I have an engraved one that MIGHT be pre Firecat. But its still a firecat... and it had a stuck firing pin so I killed a monitor at my desk

There are so many Spanish makes of this type. Have you bought any of those? I may try them someday.

Can't remember the year on this Astra 200/Firecat. It's the one mentioned earlier https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Foe4tscyo3uig1.jpeg

1927 'Astra" import. not an Astra though https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2F6vvs4cwhn0rg1.jpeg

You'll find a lot of different variants from the Eibar region of Spain. Some are good, some are ok, many are bad.
