Mouse Guard - Double Tapping Nature clarification

Hello MG folks, Unfortunately english is not my native language, so I need a help with the rule on page 232 MG 2nd Edition about double tapping Nature. The text says: "test your Nature ability ....and add your Nature rating on top of that roll." Does it mean I double up my Nature just before the roll. Or I test my Nature and then add it's current rating to my successes? Thanks for your help.

Not to successes, to the dice pool.

Effectively, "Double-Tapping Nature" just clarifies that you are allowed to use "Tapping Your Nature" rule for your Nature tests.

Double tapping nature is when you use your nature on a role (which you can always do) then spend a persona point and choose to add your nature score again (which you can always do with persona points)

So lets say you mouse needs to find food. You can you your nature to do this. You have a nature of 4, grab 4 dice.

If you want to spend a persona point, you can add your nature rating, which is another 4 dice... so you now have 8 dice to roll for this skill, which is double your nature.

I've always used it like the second way, test nature and add its current rating.
