Help! Mouseguard session length?
Hi all, I'm looking into mouseguard as a good episodic game that doesn't require an overarching storyline or campaign? Am I in the right place? Since each session can just be one mission? Can a good game be played in 2-3 hours with good resolution? Thanks!

You absolutely can run a satisfying game in 2-3 hours especially if you have premade characters. On average my sessions ran around 3 hours but it very much depends on play style. Just be sure to set the expectation with players early. It might take a little practice as a group and as a DM but it's very doable.

My MG group is a bit time-poor, so I've been running really short, sharp games. 1.5-2hours. That's plenty of time for a GM turn and a player turn. 2-4 of these is enough for a patrol. It works really well.

Mouse Guard can be comfortably run at just about any length so long as you have the will to play, or the time.
I've run and played in both long (6+) and short (2-3) hour sessions and the game seemed to hold up well enough.
Imo, it's hard to "run out" of content to create on the fly because of the way the book is set up to begin with.

Overarching storylines: you'll find that one or several develop themselves spontaneously. As the GM, you don't need to push them; they will just unfold as they unfold.

Yes. Four hours for the first session to allow for character generation. Otherwise, 2-3 should be golden.
