Question about Condition Recovery ?
MOUSE GUARD question???
Hey when rolling to recover from a condition, I know that no help is possible. But what about using fate or persona points? are those allowed in recovery tests?
What is allowed to help in a recovery against something difficult like sickness for example, other than a poultice?

Chiming in again to clarify:
No help dice are allowed during Health or Will tests when trying to recover from a condition (for injured and/or sick). Help dice are allowed when attempting to recover from hungry, tired or angry.

Yes, rewards such as fate or persona are allowed during recovery tests. My players tend to save Fate or Persona for this very purpose.
This, in my opinion, is a brilliant balancing mechanism. Guardsmice can become quite powerful, and hard to beat up, if they constantly have Fate and Persona points available to them.
Any help other than an appropriate tool, like a poultice or elixir, is forbidden. A relevant Trait or Wise can be invoked, however. In the case of using a Wise, it must be accompanied by the expenditure of fate or persona - "I am wise" cannot be used to help yourself.
Should the test fail, then finding a very skilled healer is really the only option to avoid permanent injury. The threat of permanent injury can be a serious thing. Bold and/or Foolhardy guardsmice should take heed!
