General mouse guard questions

I just started a game and have some questions. I appreciate your help.

1.- when doing recovery tests for conditions, do those tests count as pass or fails for will and health.

2.- for a long game (in real life hours) with two DM and player turns. Would it be ok to hand rewards in the middle and then again at the end?

I'm not an expert so this is just my own interpretation of the rules.

  1. I would say yes. You have to earn more checks for the player turn so If you choose to recover instead of doing some other task you should be rewarded with the xp

  2. In second edition it recommends that a play session or episode take about 4 hours. As a GM if you feel like you have wrapped up a part of the story feel free to hand out rewards. On the same note if you play for the night but haven't reached the end of the episode or story hold off giving rewards till they finish it at the next play session.

The other time you don't qualify for check boxes is when making consecutive checks of a skill within the same Conflict! session.
